Heimstaden
is a signatory to the United Nations Global Compact and its ten principles in
the areas of human rights, labour, the environment, and anti-corruption. We
require our suppliers to abide by the principles of the Compact and our
Business Partners Principles forms the basis for our supplier relationships
across the supply chain.
We purchase
annually goods and services for hundreds of millions of euros. By using
structured, transparent and fair purchasing procedures, we create value that
benefits our customers, society, and the company.
When
choosing a supplier or purchasing directly or indirectly goods and services,
we:
- follow recommendations,
processes and framework agreements established by our purchasing
department.
- choose suppliers who meet our requirements
and are socially, financially, and ecologically sustainable.
- find new ways to work with
purchasing, collaborating with suppliers who actively challenge our
conventional working methods, which helps us develop and improve.
- ensure that our suppliers
follow our Business Partner Principles.
- choose the solution that
results in the lowest total cost of ownership, meets our quality
standards, and ensures timely delivery.
- coordinate and plan our
purchases to maximise the synergies and benefits made possible by our
purchasing volumes.
- take into account the opinions
and preferences of our customers and employees.
